The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized a Seminar on the topic “Energy Efficient Electrical Machines” on 14.12.2024 at 3.00 pm in Seminar Hall.

Head of the Department Dr.B.Balraj, delivered Inaugural address and welcomed the entire participants.Dr.S.Manoharan, Professor and Principal, JCT College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore delivered a session on Energy Conservation, Energy Efficiency, different electrical apparatus used in our daily life like fans, comparison of power for regular fans with BLDC motor fans, BEE 5 star rated fans, top BLDC ceiling fans with less energy consumption in Indian Market, Smart Phones and fastest charging Smart Phones, LED lamps and different types of LED lamps, comparison of fluorescent lamps with LED lamps, Induction motors, Comparison of motors with different HP’s. At the end of the session speaker told to calculate the Yearly energy savings and money saved for Inefficient and efficient Power. The following students secured the first, second and third places for solving the energy savings and money saved for Inefficient and efficient Power.

Mr.D.Nagarajan, delivered vote of thanks and take pledge on energy conservation. He thanked our resource person, HoD and students for attending the talk and our faculty members for their extended support for organizing this event successfully. A total of 120 students attended the seminar. The seminar was effective and it was useful to the students.
