“IDEATHON 2K23 - PHASE # 1” was organized on 08.02.2023 from 10.00a.m onwards at seminar Hall of JCT college of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore, especially for First year students to enhance their knowledge skills and to promote their skills for the benefit of the society.

First year Students from various departments at first were asked to register for the event before 06.01.2023. Nearly 28 batches got registered and in each batch minimum of 3 students participated. Students who got registered were nearly given a month time to discuss about the problems they have identified and how to solve those problems.

After a month time, the registered students were asked to assemble at seminar Hall on 08.02.2023. Dr.M.Sabrigiriraj, Head of the Department of ECE and Dean- Research and Development Cell welcomed the gathering. In his speech he explained about the difference between Innovation, Research, Discovery Start-up and he also told that how our Government of India is helping numerous mini project centres to develop the real products for the benefit of society. Our Principal Dr.S.Manoharan, Dr.M.Muralidharan, Head of the Department (Science and Humanities), participated in this event.

Students, who registered for the program, presented their problems that they have identified. There was an interaction between the students, who took part in this event, through which they gained knowledge and got benefitted. It was decided to meet again after one month in the month of March to present the solution for the identified problem in PHASE # 2 IDEATHON 2K23. Totally 85 students actively took part in this event.

Finally, Vote of Thanks was given by Mrs. Vedha Vinodha .D, First year Students coordinator and the PHASE # 1event ended successfully.
