INDIAN INSTITUTE OF CHEMICAL ENGINEERS (IICHE) – STUDENT CHAPTER INAUGURATION ORGANIZED BY DEPARTMENT OF PETROCHEMICAL ENGINEERING, JCTCET ON 14TH AUGUST 2018

Department Association & Indian Institute of chemical Engineers – Student Chapter for the Department of Petrochemical Engineering, JCT College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore was started on 14 – 08 –2018.

Prof. R. Parthiban, Joint Honorary Secretary – IIChE Chennai Regional Centre and Head of Chemical Engineering Department, SSN College of Engineering, Chennai took the chair and declared opening of the IIChE Student Chapter and delivered inaugural address.

Prof. D. Prabhakaran, Associate professor, Department of Chemical Engineering, CIT Coimbatore participated as Guest of Honour and presented Keynote speech.

The opportunities and avenues available in IIChE are explained to the students by the eminent speakers.

IIChE Student Chapter activities for the forth coming academic year are finalized as follows.

• Guest Lectures by eminent experts from various IIChE regional Centres.
• Workshop / Hand-on-training by industrial experts.
• Arranging Industrial Visits and Internship Trainings in chemical and allied industries.
• Providing Soft skills development, carrier guidance, GATE coaching and entrepreneurship.
