5 DAYS ONLINE FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM on “Green Technology and Sustainability” organized by the Department of Petrochemical Engineering, JCT College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore during the duration 24th July to 28th July 2023 was successfully completed.

Day 1: July 24, 2023 Dr. S. Kavitha, professor and head of the department of petrochemical engineering, delivered the welcome address and the inaugural address. Prof. Kaviyarasan, Assistant Professor in the department of petrochemical engineering, delivered the keynote address for session 1. Session 1: "SYNTHESIS AND EVALUATION OF PVDF-SPES HYDROPHILIC COMPOSITE MEMBRANES" by Dr. Shyamsunder Mishra, Professor, Department of Chemical Engineering, Agni College of Technology, Chennai, Tamil Nadu-603103. Session 2's keynote speech was delivered by Prof. J. Praveenkumar, an assistant professor in the department of petrochemical engineering. Dr. M. Lakshmi Prabha, Assistant Professor in the department of biotechnology at Karunya University in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, gave the presentation for session two. "GREEN TECHNOLOGY IN WASTE MANAGEMENT" in the title . Mr Rajkumar., Assistant Professor, Department of Petrochemical Engineering ended the Day 1 session with vote of thanks to every participants who took part in the online FDP.

Day 2: July 24, 2023 Prof. A Rajkumar., Assistant Professor, Department of Petrochemical Engineering, welcomed the participants for Day 2 FDP sessions and delivered the keynote address for Session 1. Dr. R. Palani, Associate Professor, Dept of Chemical Engineering, Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering, Sriperumbudur, Chennai., presented in the topic “STRATEGIC CONTROL OF CO2 EMISSIONS IN THE ENVIRONMENT”. Followed by Session 2's keynote speech was delivered by Prof. J. Praveenkumar, Assistant Professor., Department of Petrochemical Engineering, after that. Dr. A.Saravana Raj Assistant Professor, Dept. of Chemical Engineering, Vel Tech High Tech Dr.Rangarajan Dr.Sakunthala Engineering College, Chennai, gave the presentation in the topic “SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN BIOCHEMICALENGINEERING”. Prof. A Rajkumar., Assistant Professor, Department of Petrochemical Engineering ended the Day 2 session with vote of thanks to every participants who took part in the online FDP.

Day 3: July 26, 2023 Prof. A Rajkumar., Assistant Professor, Department of Petrochemical Engineering, welcomed the participants for Day 3 FDP sessions and delivered the keynote address for Session 1. Dr. P. Sivakumar., Assistant Professor., Dept. of Chemical Engineering, Coimbatore Institute of Technology, Coimbatore, presented in the topic “RECOVERY OF METALS FROM E-WASTE USING ELECTROCHEMICAL METHODS”. Followed by Session 2's keynote speech was delivered by Prof. J. Praveenkumar, Assistant Professor., Department of Petrochemical Engineering, after that. Mrs. N. Umaiyambika, Associate Professor Dept of Chemical Engineering, Saveetha Engineering College Sriperumbadur Taluk, Chennai, gave the presentation in the topic “THE LAND-WATER-ENERGY NEXUS OF BIOFUELS”. Prof. A Rajkumar., Assistant Professor, Department of Petrochemical Engineering ended the Day 3 session with vote of thanks to every participants who took part in the online FDP.

Day 4: July 27, 2023 Prof. J Praveenkumar., Assistant Professor, Department of Petrochemical Engineering, welcomed the participants for Day 4 FDP sessions and delivered the keynote address for Session 1. Dr.V.Saravanan., Associate Professor, Dept. of Chemical Engineering, Annamalai University, Chidambaram, presented in the topic “AIR POLLUTION”. Followed by Session 2's keynote speech was delivered by Prof. A Rajkumar, Assistant Professor., Department of Petrochemical Engineering, after that. Dr. G.Jeevarathinam., Associate Professor and Head, Dept of Food Technology, Hindustan College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore, gave the presentation in the topic “NOVEL FOOD PROCESSING TECHNIQUES”. Prof. A Rajkumar., Assistant Professor, Department of Petrochemical Engineering ended the Day 4 session with vote of thanks to every participants who took part in the online FDP.

Day 5: July 28, 2023., Prof. J. Praveenkumar., Assistant Professor, Department of Petrochemical Engineering, welcomed the participants for final day of FDP sessions and delivered the keynote address for Session 1. Mr. Harish Doneparthi., Research Scholar, Dept. of Chemical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM), Chennai, presented in the topic “SUSTAINABLE GREEN CHEMICAL TECHNOLOGY FOR DEVELOPMENT IN PROCESS INDUSTRIES”. Followed by Session 2's keynote speech was delivered by Prof. J. Praveenkumar, Assistant Professor., Department of Petrochemical Engineering, after that. Dr. R. Emilin Renitta., Associate Professor, Dept. of Food Processing Technology, Karunya University, Coimbatore., gave the presentation in the topic “BACTERIOPHAGES IN GREEN BIOTECHNOLOGY”. Prof. A Rajkumar., Assistant Professor, Department of Petrochemical Engineering ended the final day session with vote of thanks and appreciated every participant who took part in the online FDP on “Green Technology and Sustainability” for successful completion.
