Women’s Empowerment / POSH cell of JCT College of Engineering and Technology, Pichanur organized a online webinar on the topic “Need of POSH law in India-The Gender Security “on 05.05.2022 at 2.30 PM for all the Girl students and female faculty members at seminar hall.

The key speaker of the event was Ms.A.Roopasree Advocate, Bar council of Tamilnadu & Pondichery. The session started with the Welcome address by Ms.Fenisha Princess, III year ECE followed by Introduction of chief guest by Ms.Mridula ,III year ECE.

The primary goal of this webinar was to create awareness about Sexual Harassment & POSH law 2013. She explained about the purpose of POSH act and what are all the things included in sexual harassment. She also explained about what should a women do after subjected to a sexual harassment and how a women should give complaint against that person and she explained about different committee’s to where the complaint has to be filed. Finally she answered to the queries raised by the students and staffs and made the session as an interactive one. Totally around 130 girls students and female staff members benefitted through this webinar.
