PONGAL CELEBRATIONS 2020

JCT College of Engineering and Technology organized Pongal Celebrations on 11th January 2020 in College campus at 11.00 am. This year pongal celebration is named as SANGAMAM.

Our College celebrated the Tamil harvest festival Pongal with great joy and fanfare in the Campus. The function started with pongal flag hoisted by our beloved Principal. The Principal, Vice-Principal, Head of the Departments and all the staff members joined the celebrations along with our students who had made arrangements to cook a delicious, aromatic and sweet pongal dish in the traditional way. The sweet pongal dish was then distributed to all the Staff members and students making it a very memorable event at the start of this New Year 2020.

All were dressed in dhoti and sari that completed the festive mood by creating the traditional atmosphere. The students danced to the tune of traditional beats and the campus was decorated with Rangoli. Classic and organic food Stalls were arranged by the college. The staff and student organized pot-breaking and rangoli competition. Function ended up with cultural events in the seminar hall.
