Seminar on Career in the Wind Industry

The Department of Training and Placement Cell organized a seminar on “Career in the Wind Industry” at JCT campus on 07.01.2020. Windcare India Pvt. Ltd., Gudimangalam hosted the seminar for final year (Mechanical and EEE) students. Totally 115 students attended the seminar.

WINDCARE INDIA Private Limited which was established in the year 2001 is now a reputed name in the Indian wind energy sector and emerging as a global ISP. With a strong team of dedicated intellectuals led by Mr. S. Antonyraj – CEO Wind care is stimulated to develop concepts which cater to an ever-increasing demand for innovation in the sector.

As a result of this, their innovative “without crane technology” was developed – a technology which is used for dismantling and re-erection of Wind turbine components without the use of heavy duty cranes

Apart from all the works beginning from wind potential and micro siting, land procurement, erection, commissioning, operation and maintenance etc., they have developed a STATE OF ART new technology for de-erection and re-erection of Generator, gear box, rotor unit and blade assembly “WINDCARE TECHNOLOGY”.

Dr.G.Ramesh (Principal-JCTCET) and Dr. R. Manoharan (Principal-JCTPC) welcomed Mr. Jerald Rozario Arockiaraj, Chief Manager-Training and Mr. James S, HR-Executive of Windcare India Pvt. Ltd. and the gathering. Dr.V.J.Arulkarthick (Vice Principal-JCTCET) delivered the key note address. Prof.V.Jethose (Head – Training and Placement) & Mr.Nethaji Kumar. D, Placement Officer, felicitated.

Mr. James explained wind industries importance and technical Competency for getting a job. Mr. Jerald shared his experience of how became a Manager level in the Wind Industry. He explained GWO (Global Wind Organization) certification benefits and job opportunities in India and Abroad. He had an interactive session with our students.
