The Department of Civil Engineering organized Hands on Training Workshop on “AESTHETIC ASPECTS OF BUILDING DESIGN” on 28th March 2023.

Dr.V Murugesh, HoD/ Civil of JCT College of Engineering and Technology welcomed the Resource Person Arun Das V M, Director of CISAT Institutions, Thrissur, Kerala. Dr. V Venugopalan introduced other staff members accompanied with our chief guest for the session. Prof M Sadhasivam highlighted the importance of the session by using some of the important calculations in nowadays for the construction. Prof. K Sivaraman conveyed the Vote of thanks for the Instructors for conducting this wonderful session for our students.

About the Workshop:

Our Resource Person have sound knowledge in their field of Recent Technologies and the Aesthetic Importance in today’s model buildings. The aesthetics of a building is one of the principal aspects considered in architecture. The appeal of a building covers the combined effects of a building's shape, size, texture, colour, balance, unity, movement, emphasis, contrast, symmetry, proportion, space, alignment, pattern, decoration, culture and context. They conducted a session to increase the creative ability of the students in just 3 hrs by doing them a perfect planning for a commercial building in which the building needs to be very unique and challenging. By making our second, third and final year students combining to make 3 teams, they made our students to plan and execute with full agility by drawing the plan, where our students within that 2 hrs they made 3 unimaginable design of buildings and atlast they awarded a team with a Momento for their Ideal Design. After the great session, we thanked them for the useful session to find out our Young Enterpreneurs capacity to become the most successful Engineers in coming generations.
