The Department of Mechanical Engineering, JCT College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore launched “CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE for CNC MACHINES” in CAM Laboratory, Mechanical Engineering Department on 31.03.202.The programme started with ribbon cutting by our Respected Principal Dr.S.Manoharan. Then Indian Traditional Lamp was lit up by the delegates. Our Respected Principal Dr.S.Manoharan emphasized about The Center of Excellence for CNC Machines is a facility that provides leadership, best practices, research, support and training for the focused area. The resource person explained about the centre also brings together faculty members from different educational Institutions and provides shared facilities and it can be effectively taught to student’s.Finally, Dr.G.Mahesh, Professor and Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering expressed this centre bridges the gap between Industry and University with a distinctive capability to harness the intellectual energy of academia to impact Indian Industries. Totally, more than 50 students and faculty members attended the programme. Dr.I.J.Isaac PremKumar, Associate Professor Department of Mechanical Engineering proposed the vote of thanks.
