On October 16, 2024, JCT College of Engineering and Technology, through its Departments of Food Technology and Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering, in association with IIChE, AFSTI, ISTE, and BRSI, celebrated World Food Day with a Food Festival held at the Baking and Confectionery Lab. The event focused on spreading awareness about the importance of food security, sustainable agriculture, and healthy eating habits, aligning with the global theme of World Food Day 2024.
The Food Festival 2024 at JCT College of Engineering and Technology was an engaging and informative event that successfully raised awareness about food security, nutrition, and the role of food technology in today’s world. It allowed students to explore the intersection of science and cuisine, while fostering an appreciation for healthy, sustainable eating practices. The event concluded with a sense of accomplishment, and the college looks forward to continuing its efforts to promote food security and innovation in food technology in future events.
