DAY 1

An Inauguration programme on JCT Aarunya 2022 was held on 07.11.2022 at JCT College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore. Dr.Ayyappan G.S Senior Principal Scientist CSIR-CSID, Chennai Centre, Chennai, attended the function as the Chief Guest and explained the possibilities of how to face the problems on social attitude and fear of failure. Principal Dr.S.Manoharan Felicitated the function, Dr.M.Muralidharan gave the welcome address and Mrs.D. Vedha Vinodha gave the vote of thanks.

In afternoon session students had an interaction with their respective class advisors and mentors and were asked to complete their student record form.

DAY 2

On 08/11/2022, the First session was with the Placement Director Dr. V. Jethose. He gave plenty of information regarding placements in the college. He had talked about various companies that have an alliance with college and how they gave various placement opportunities to the students during their final year of the graduation. He also talked about the various trainings done by the faculties for the students in order to place in a company. He gave lot of tips to prepare them from the first year to place in good companies when they reach final year.

The Second session is all about Orientation on Foreign language (German) by two Resource persons Mr. Armin Alagic- Muller, Associate Director, and Mr. Sagnik Chakraborthy, Senior Faculty, Goethe Zentrum, Coimbatore. They have talked about the various job opportunities in Germany and the importance of German Language while working in Germany. They also introduced the educational system and various public and private funded universities in Germany and how they provide free education to both national and international students.

AFTERNOON SESSION

The Third session of 08/11/2022 was with their respective department faculties. The students went to their concerned departments and introduced about the department to them. The students interacted with the professors and they gained basic knowledge regarding their departments.

The fourth session of 08/11/2022 was department Alumni meet. The alumni of JCT College who have placed in various jobs interacted with the students and talked about how they were placed in various institutions and the placement opportunities in the concerned streams. They expressed their gratitude towards the institution.

DAY 3

The first session of 09/11/2022 was done by Mr. R. Muralidharan, Director- Business operations, CONNECT Training Solutions (P) Ltd, Tirunelveli. He has talked about soft skills to enhance the communicative ability of the students. He also discussed about the general ethics. He interacted with the students through various activities and makes them lively throughout the session.

AFTERNOON SESSION

The afternoon session of 09/11/2022 was the introduction of various campus clubs by club coordinators. In our college there are eight campus clubs and the clubs were explained the activities to the students by the coordinators and they invited them to join the clubs.

DAY 4

The First session of 10/11/2022 was all about Relaxing Mind and Spirit through yoga and meditation. The session was lead by Dr. G.S. Sharmila, Assistant Professor, JSS institite of Naturopathy and Yogic Science. She talked about various types of yoga and their various positions. She also talked about how yoga reduces the daily stress and makes a man fresh and lively.

The Second session of 10/11/2022 was the Orientation on Foreign language (Japanese). The session was lead by Mr. K.Ravi, Director & Chief Operating Officer ABK- AOTS DOSOKAI. He has talked about the various job opportunities in Japan. He also introduced the educational system and various universities in Japan and the life style of Japanese people and their culture.

AFTERNOON SESSION

The Third session of 10/11/2022 was Outcome Based Education & CBCS. The session was lead by Dr. K.Geetha, Dean- Academics & HOD- EEE. She has introduced what is Choice based Credit System and what are its benefits and interacted with students. She also talked about the University exam pattern.

The Fourth session of 10/11/2022 was about Examination Cell done by Dr. A. Kumar, Controller of Examination & HOD of Civil Engineering. He has explained about Anna University exam pattern. He explained the students about the internal exam and external university exams in a detailed way and also the rules and regulations to be followed for the Anna University exams.

DAY 5

The First session of 11/11/2022 was Happy Living guided by Mr. Sri Sasikumar, founder of Gnana Sanjeevani Gurukulam. It had lot of activities along with good sensible humour. He spoke about how a teenager should manage all the problems and identify where it starts from. Along with that he gave the solutions through biological benefits which are his findings through his research.

AFTERNOON SESSION

The Second session of 11/11/2022 was about Self Love, lead by Dr. N. Sowmya, Assistant Surgeon, Govt. Primary Health Centre, Arisipalayam. She spoke about self love in terms of mental fitness and physical fitness. She defined self love as a gratitude to oneself for this beautiful life.

DAY6

The First session of 14/11/2022 was a motivational talk given by Dr. R. Krishnamurthi, Corporate trainer or Chief Mentor. He motivated the students with a message card to provide a positive vibe among them. He explained LEAF model in life and it describes L as listen to others and you, E means to encourage, A is appreciation, F means to forgive.

AFTERNOON SESSION

Second Session of 14/11/2022 was done by Dr. M. Muralidharan, HOD - S&H, First Year. He has talked about the various rules and regulations to be followed by the students in JCT College of Engineering and Technology. He strictly insisted to follow all the rules and regulations of the college.

The afternoon next session was talent hunt. Many of the students explored themselves on the stage with their stunning performances. The students exhibited solo and group dances which was mesmerizing to the audience. Marvellous solo and group songs were also sung by the students.

DAY 7

The First session of 15/11/20022 was all about “Why to become an Engineer?” by Mr. Lors Porseena, Head- Logistics Department, Assistant Professor, Happy Valley Business School. He explained the different reasons of choosing engineering as a profession. He also gave ideas about different career opportunities. The Second session of 15/11/2022 was Interaction with Alumni who are working in abroad .The alumni of JCT College who have placed in various jobs interacted with the students and talked about how they were placed in various institutions and the placement opportunities in the concerned streams. They expressed their gratitude towards the institution.

AFTERNOON SESSION

Third session was ragging is an offence. The session was headed over the Sub Inspector of police, K G Chavadi, Mr. J. Saravanan. He spoke about what is ragging and how ragging is an offence and what are the punishments of ragging once the case is filed. The session was really interactive.

The Fourth session of 15/11/2022 was about Incubation cell and Career Opportunities and it was lead by Dr. M. Sabarigiriraj, HOD – ECE, Dr. Gnanavel, Professor, Food Technology department, Dr. V. Murugesh, Associate Professor, Civil Department. They explained about the purpose and importance of Incubation cell. They talked about the various career opportunities and explained how they should prepare to place in the final year and gave more tips regarding career opportunities.

DAY 8

A One day short trip organized for first year students to ISHA YOGA on 16.11.2022 enwraped with 390 students and 24 faculty members in seven buses of our college. The journey starts from our college at 10.45a.m and reached by 12.20pm, then all of them were assembled in front of Adiyogi statue and visited the other places like “Thiyana Lingam” and “Bairavi Temple” and after that had lunch at 1.15p.m to 2.30p.m.Students and staffs took photos in front of statue and other places and returned from there by 2.45p.m and reached college by 4.05p.m.Finally the trip ends with great success.
