GUEST LECTURE ON “SOFTWARE ENGINEERING : ON AN INDUSTRIAL PERSPECTIVE” ORGANIZED BY DEPT OF CSE,JCTCET ON 09TH MARCH 2018

Industrial Perspective on 09th March 2018 at 9:30AM. The resource person for this program was Prof.N.R.Devendrakumar, Assistant Professor (Sr.G), Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The program started with the prayer song. The welcome address was given by Dr.G.Rajiv Suresh Kumar, Head of Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The chief guest first gave an introduction about the “Software Engineering: Industrial Perspective” which gave everyone a clear view about software Engineering. He then illustrated the importance of software engineering in an industry with real time examples.

He also briefed about the jobs available in IT industry. He explained in detail about Data structures-Oriented design and Data flow- Oriented design. He also explained about Symptoms of Software Development Problems and also depicted about Best Practices of Software Engineering. He also showed us the applications of Artificial Intelligence in an industry perspective.

He also explained about Testing Objectives and various testing tools used in IT industry. He also narrated about Object-Oriented Testing Methods, Fault-Free Software, Development failures, Code Efficiency.The vote of thanks was given by Mr.K.Sivakumar Assistant professor, Department of computer science and engineering.
