The Department of Science and Humanities at JCT-CET organized Science Day Celebration for this academic year on 27th Feb, which witnessed enthusiastic participation from all disciplines of our college. This function was inaugurated by the chief guest Dr P.Prema, Amirta School of Engineering , who in her speech emphasized the engineers to take an active role and contribute to the science society . The Chief Guest who held the students spellbound by illustrating an anecdote from the Mahabharatha , which illuminated the students to emerge as a good scientist and good human being . It is worth mentioning here that Principal stated the achievements of science by Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Rama while giving presidential address to the Pupils. He advocated to Engineering students that they should quest for new researches and new inventions in their field.

Later on , the prize distribution ceremony was held for the events like Pencil Drawing , Puzzles and Science project exhibition . The gathering was welcomed by Dr .M.S. Balamurgan , HOD of S&H.the Chief Guest was honoured by the Principal ,Dr G.Ramesh. Our Trustee, Thiru. O.M.Manivelu made his valuable presence along with the head of all the department of JCTCET. The Science day celebration came to an end with vote of thanks proposed by Aswin, Ist year Student.
