Second National Conference on Recent Advances in Computing Sciences

The Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering of JCT College of Engineering and Technology organized a Second National Conference on Recent Advances in Computing Sciences (RACS’14) on 4th September 2014. Mr. Felix P.S, Senior Project Manager, CG-VAK Software & Export ltd., Coimbatore is a chief guest of this national conference. In the presidential address, Dr. G. Ramesh, Principal of our college addressed the gathering with the importance of national Conference as a knowledge hub to the participants. After the Presidential Address, Our Honorable Principal Dr. G. Ramesh, released the proceedings of the Second National Conference on RECENT ADVANCES IN COMPUTING SCIENCES and the first copy was received by the Chief Guest Mr. Felix P.S. The speech given by principal made students to know that life begins in the way we think and consider things instead of being trapped in matrix of thinking, also it portrayed the need of out-of-box-thinking. Subsequently, the chief guest in his inaugural address enlighten the group with reason for the development on the area of computing science. With a good field factor in minds of the engineering, companies is going to be a lot more demand in days to come for engineering graduates. Also he enlighten the group with the current IT Trends that are growing and briefed about those as Window service, Web Application, Disturbed Application, Web Services The words of Mr. Felix gave so much of energy and motivated the students, faculties and the researchers to think innovatively.

The conference had four sessions spread over a day where the participants from various Universities and Institution across the country presented papers in the conference which provided a platform for researchers and academicians to share and exchange ideas on the various research topics in the fields such as Cloud Computing, Grid Computing, Green Computing, Mobile Computing, Data Mining, Information Security, Cryptography and Network Security, Computer Vision, Wireless Security, Artificial Intelligence and Neural Networks, Robotics, Embedded Systems, VLSI Design, Sensor Networks and Human Computer Interaction.

The valediction commenced with the feedback from the participants, which was followed by the brief description of conference report by Prof. Rajiv Suresh Kumar, the head of the department(CSE). Then, Dr. Ramesh, the principal of the college awarded the participants with their certificates. Finally, the event was successfully completed with our national anthem.
